Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship

The Yale Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship is a single year post-residency (General Surgery) program sponsored by the Section of Gastrointestinal Surgery of the Department of Surgery in the Yale University School of Medicine. The Yale Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship is designed to provide sub-specialty clinical and research post-residency training in the evaluation and treatment of diseases amenable to advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Yale's Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship offers the gamut of laparoscopic procedures, from foregut to hindgut. There is extensive bariatric surgical experience, including revisional procedures, but bariatric surgery is not over-emphasized. The diagnosis, evaluation, and surgical management of gastroesophageal reflux disease, achalasia, abdominal wall hernias, and benign & malignant colon diseases are also stressed. Fellows will have unparalleled laparoscopic colectomy experience. Additionally, fellows will gain ample experience in upper and lower gatrointestinal endoscopy."
