Clinical Interests: Surgical oncology and endocrinology with special interests in adrenal, thyroid and parathyroid and laparoscopic techniques

Research Interests: Neurocognitive / psychiatric evaluation of patients with primary hyperparathyroidism; cardiovascular effects of primary hyperparathyroidism; intraoperative PTH monitoring as predictor of postoperative hyoclcemia in total thyroidectomy; intraoperative PTH assay as predictor of long-term outcome in parathyroidectomy for primary multigland hyperplasia and secondary hyperparathyroidism; objective prospective evaluation of surgical skill and surgical education in laparoscopy using task specific virtual reality training.
