Project Goals

  • The objective of this study is to measure outcomes of the repair of pectus excavatum by observing differences or similarities between pre and post-operative anatomy and quality of life.

Study Design

Observational, non-randomized, non-blinded multicenter study of clinical outcomes of surgical repair of pectus excavatum.

Data Collection  

Data collected at each center by a research coordinator and entered into a central, Internet-connected database.

Data Management

Data are managed by the Department of Surgery Clinical Outcomes, Research, & Epidemiology (CORE) at the Children's Hospital of The King 's Daughters.
